ANGLEBROOK GOLF CLUBHOUSE
Somers, New York
The Anglebrook Golf Club takes its design cues from traditional golf clubhouses in New York’s Westchester County, which were treated as large, casually massed country houses. This is reflected in the winding entrance drive and forecourt as well as the picturesque silhouette of chimneys, gables, and dormers. Stucco-clad walls, columned porches, large French doors and casement windows, and bluestone terraces and garden walls complete the intimate welcoming effect. The formal clubhouse wing offers a lounge, a large high-ceilinged dining room, and a smaller club dining room from which members enjoy views across the bucolic 240-acre championship course. An entrance hall connects the hospitality rooms to the locker rooms and starting lobby.
