West Beach
Conference Center
Kiawah Island, South Carolina
The West Beach Conference Center combines a vernacular Low-Country character with the formality of a stately Southern mansion to establish a relaxed yet purposeful character for meetings and professional gatherings in a resort setting. This all-new facility offers over 23,000 square feet of flexible pre-event and state-of-the-art meeting space—including a 10,000-square-foot divisible core space that can accommodate 1,000 guests for general sessions and up to 600 for banquets—in a manner that relates in scale and spirit to other built and future buildings designed under Gary Brewer’s leadership for West Beach Village. The easily conformable facility also supports more intimate gatherings, such as executive board meetings, with breakout rooms and high-tech communication capabilities. Lower-level parking and under-roof drive-in loading bays are integrated into the slope of the site.
